Diwali 2026 falls on Sunday 8 November, with the five-day festival running from Dhanteras on 6 November to Bhai Dooj on 10 November. Organisers usually hold their celebration on the nearest weekend rather than the day itself, and some go weeks later: Göteborg Telugu Samithi's Deepavali Sambaralu is on 21 November. As of 10 October two of the big community Diwali nights have still not announced a 2026 date: Indians in Sweden, whose Diwali Dhamaka ran in 2024 and 2025, and Indians Tillsammans in Helsingborg, who held a Diwali Mela in 2022 and 2023 and Band Baaja Diwali in 2024. The 2026 Diwali events already announced are listed here separately, from the Grand Devotional Concert in Göteborg on 31 October to Sewa Diwali in Järfälla on 15 November.
